Jordan Creek Mall will open in 2019 at the former site of the mall, the mall’s owners announced Tuesday.
It’s a $2.6 billion project, according to a news release.
It’s located on the Jordan Creek National Forest land.
The project, which will be funded by the federal government, was approved in April and the project is expected to be completed in 2023.
The new project will also include a new shopping center, a convention center, offices, a new waterpark and the mall will reopen at its former site.
The mall is located on land the Jordan Lake Conservancy has managed since 1996, when the park was opened.
It has also operated under the name Jordan Creek International Mall since 1999.
