Medical News Now article The palisading mall at Fox Hills in San Francisco, Calif., has been closed for the summer due to a fire that destroyed an apartment complex in September, leaving residents with a long-term problem.
Fox Hills officials said Monday that the mall will be open for shopping until at least Oct. 18.
The fire at the complex in the Santa Clara Valley, which burned for about five hours, killed three people and injured nearly 50.
The Santa Clara Fire Department said the cause of the fire was under investigation.
It was not immediately clear if the paliade mall had suffered any damages or injuries.
Fox is located in a dense residential area with many homes and apartments, and was built in the 1920s, according to the mall’s website.
The mall is the second-largest mall in North America, according the mall website.
